By providing your contact information to Steel Maelstrom (also referred to herein as SMS) in the form of an application, you agree to allow Steel Maelstrom and its representatives to use said information in correspondance and on the SMS website from that time forth. If you are a minor, by submitting such an application you confirm that you have received permission from your parent or legal guardian to disclose such information.

Conversely, Steel Maelstrom acknowledges that it shall never use such information in any of the following manners:

• Disclosure or sale of contact information to a third party without first receiving explicit permission to do so from the individual
• Disclosure of personal contact information upon the SMS website, except in cases where the individual has been ejected from ("kicked out of") Steel Maelstrom for disciplinary purposes

Steel Maelstrom will never require nor retain records of the following types of information:

• Financial records
• Credit card numbers
• Home addresses
• Telephone numbers
• Medical history
• Academic history

Steel Maelstrom will reserve the right to use or post to the SMS website any contact information provided in any other method of correspondance directed towards it or any representative for non-application purposes unless explicitly requested not to. This may include name, e-mail address, or additional personal information. In cases where confidentiality is required (due to exclusive news, etc.), Steel Maelstrom will respect such situations and not publish said contact information, although such contact information shall be retained privately. Individuals submitting profane, harassing or insulting correspondance to Steel Maelstrom or its representatives waive their right to confidentiality.

Steel Maelstrom will release any and all contact information to and fully cooperate with the appropriate legal authorities if requested in situations where laws may have been broken. If such contact information was provided to Steel Maelstrom or its representatives under a condition of confidentiality, Steel Maelstrom may seek to avoid releasing such information under legal protection currently afforded to conventional journalistic organizations.
