How can I apply?
Applying to join SMS is easy. Simply compose an e-mail containing the following information:
- Your real name....first and last.
- Your "handle" or nickname (the name you use when you play on the Net).
- Your permanent e-mail address. Anonymous ("free") e-mail addresses such as those provided by Hotmail, Yahoo!, Juno, Rocketmail, MSN, Geocities and others cannot be accepted, no exceptions.
- Your birthdate.....Day, Month and Year.
- ICQ number, if you have one.
- Your geographical location: Country, State, City and Zip (or Postal) Code. We don't need your home address; this information is used by us merely to identify general member location.
- Internet Connection: cablemodem, 28.8 modem, 56k modem, DSL, etc.
- Which game you want to play for SMS. Keep in mind it has to be a game we already play! If you play several games SMS supports, specify the one you play (and like) the most.
- If applicable, also state what positions you can play and like to play.
By sending your application, you are confirming that:
- The information supplied in your application is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You are currently NOT a member of any other online gaming team.
- You are at least 14 years of age.
- If you are under 18 years of age, you have the explicit permission of your parent (or legal guardian) to join SMS.
- You have read the Steel Maelstrom Top Ten and agree to abide by the rules summarized there. Or -- even better -- you've read the entire SMS Rules and Regulations.
- You have read and agreed to abide by the conditions specified within the Steel Maelstrom Privacy Policy.
When you have completed your application, you need to e-mail it to the appropriate SMS leader:
