Hosting costs for a website -- even a small one -- aren't cheap. Currently, Rantage pays $335 (US) per year to ensure that the steelmaelstrom.com domain is renewed and the site is hosted. While that may seem a bit expensive, we've found our current hosting provider, HostMySite.com to be extremely reliable and the features they offer (multiple datasources, ColdFusion MX support) meet our needs.

All donations to SMS via our PayPal account (minus their processing fee) go to pay for this hosting. As the term should suggest, all donations are voluntary and have no bearing on membership within our clan. For accountability purposes, Rantage issues a quarterly statement to the members containing donation totals.
